Abolfazl Mehri Hossein Hajilou has been charged with “confronting the Islamic government through committing arson against public property in order to cause disruptions in the country’s order and security”, according to reports published by Mizan Online. According to the reports, the presiding judge accused Abolfazl Mehri Hossein Hajilou of having set fire to 25 rubbish bins during protests that took place in Tehran province. 17-year-old football player from Baharestan who was arrested in early October was accused of “confronting the Islamic system through committing arson against public property to cause disruptions in the country’s order and security.” The court accused him of setting fire to 25 rubbish bins during the #IranRevolution protests in Tehran. This accusation has lead to “Muharebe,” or “Waging war against God,” which has the death penalty. Abolfazl was part of a sham group trial held on 29th of October which took less than 10 minutes without legal representation.
